Fall Style: Denim and Lace

Fall is officially upon us, and with it comes fresh new fashions that seem to revive my tired summer wardrobe. If you ask me, it doesn't get much better than donning sweaters, boots, and oversized scarves. I secretly (and anxiously) count down the days every year until Autumn roles around and I get to bring my fall wardrobe to the forefront of my closet.
The weather where I live has yet to drop below the mid 70's and  has stayed at a steady (and scorching,) humid 85 degrees; so I am still transitioning my wardrobe from summer to fall attire. Western Inspired booties paired with a lace mini dress and topped with a denim jacket easily satisfy my need to spice up my style.

This denim jacket has been hanging in my closet for over 8 years now and it still feels timeless and new when I bring it out of hiding after a long, hot spring and summer. This little denim treasure of mine is from Abercrombie & Fitch who, staying true to their brand's traditionalist nature, still manages to carry this exact style. Find it HERE

This leather wrap bracelet is a really unique find from a local boutique. The rings I'm wearing are a fun little set I picked up at Forever 21. Find it HERE.

I found these booties at Francesca's last fall season and I just couldn't wait to throw them on again this year. Find a VERY similar style HERE.
My western inspired bag also happens to be something I found at a local boutique. The tassels and the laser cut design on this bag really make me love it.

This fall season there are so many great styles, prints, and  trends that I can not wait to suit up in. Check back in a couple of days for a post all about the ones I plan on wearing.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today, and Happy Fall Y'all!

Summer Wardrobe Wrap-Up: Style Favorites

With summer at it's end (today is officially autumn) I must to admit I am seriously so excited to jump right into fall fashion, but before the best season of the year takes over my blog, I thought I would take a quick look back and share a compilation of my  personal favorite looks posted on the blog this summer.

Casually Striped

I had to include this look in my favorites for two reasons. First, this was probably the most worn dress in my closet this summer as it seemed to be the perfect thing to throw on for any casual occasion; and second, because I am still so obsessed with this adorable wifey tote from ILYCouture.

Comfy and Casual: A Summertime Essential

I just love this outfit so much, when I came across this photo, as I was compiling all the pictures for this post, I was slightly sad I had to retire this look with the season. I will however still be wearing these white ripped skinnies in the winter because white after labor day is such a thing of the past ladies!

Feeling Bright and Lovely...

If I had to choose a single dress in my closet that I thought described my personal style to a "T" it would be this little number. The cut, the color combo, the print, -- all perfection if you ask me.

Brights on the Beach

Ok, so I posted this look back in April so technically it was a spring post, but since I did find myself wearing this outfit a couple times this summer, I thought I should include it in my favorites. I just never seem to tire of the print on these BCBGeneration skinnies; the pattern and the color combo just makes me swoon every time I look at them.

This was a date night outfit I wore during my road trip across the southern states this summer. Travis and  I had such a fun  and memorable time that evening on the Savannah Riverwalk that I just had to share this look again. Not to mention the bow detail on the back of this dress from Marshall's was so on-trend this summer.

 Channeling My Inner Audrey Heburn

What can I say, I loved my floppy hats this summer, especially this black one from Charming Charlie's.

 Modern Day Ballerina

And finally, my last but certainly not least, favorite look from this summer was my take on a wearable modern day ballerina outfit. I felt so feminine and pretty when I wore this look this summer. Being the girly-girl I am, there's just something about pink chiffon and white lace that speak to my inner child (and yes, my inner child is a total fashionista that loves any dress you can get a good twirl out of.)

Thank you SO much for stopping by the blog today!
I hope you enjoyed this little summer wardrobe wrap-up. I have some seriously exciting stuff planned for fall coming very soon to the blog (including my very first giveaway! yay!) so stay tuned!

Talk is Cheap

Hey loves!
I know it's been a hot minute since I've posted on the blog, and I must say I have been having major withdrawals. I just want to say, I'm sorry if anyone felt like I just left you hanging. It was an unintentional hiatus as I have just been spending time with family and my sweet hubby, and basically just living life away from the amazing ruckus of social media these past few months. I have been leisurely enjoying the end of summer so I thought I would bring you all one more look before we completely transition into all the fall fashion and fun that I am personally sooo excited about.
This summer I enjoyed few things more than a fun and fab statement tee. I've actually had this look tucked away in my camera roll for awhile now because I wanted to leave you all with one of my most favorite, go-to summer looks before the cooler weather ensues, and autumn attire takes over my life.
This muscle style statement tank is from Forever 21. Find a similar one HERE.
Black and white stripes just take up a special place in my fashion-obsessed heart. This maxi skirts design and classic color combo is universally flattering on everyone; and Yes, is as comfortable as it looks. I found this adorable skirt at my local Marshall's (surprise surprise, I practically live in that store.) but HERE and HERE  are similar styles from Dillard's, and guess what?! They are majorly ON SALE!

My sweet mom just happened to call right on cue in the midst of this photo shoot...because a "talk is cheap" fashion post just wouldn't be the same without me actually talking of course. Thanks Mom!

I am wearing my holy grail sunglasses - the Ray Ban Jackie Ohh II find them HERE.
On my wrist, I am wearing a BCBG bracelet I picked up ages ago but still wear almost daily, and  one of the aluminum David Yurman limited edition bracelets in black. I seriously adore these aluminum bracelets and all the colors are simply amazing.  It's hard to find these bracelets online but if you contact your local David Yurman store, you can usually get your hands on the color you're craving. HERE is a link to the sight that has a picture of all the available colors.
My earrings are from Forever 21.
You know that pair of shoes you happened to score for 60% off at your local department store 2 years ago, and every time you wear them someone tells you how much they like them? Well these are "those" shoes for me! I feel like I made the deal of the century when I bought these babies for $30 at Dillard's ages ago. They are still serving me so well, (usually on a weekly basis too.) These are by Gianni Bini and it's safe to say they are a personal favorite. I wish I could share this exact pair with you, but since I purchased them so long ago they are no longer available (insert sad face here.) I have however found a few similar styles if you want to check those out HERE and HERE.

Thanks for stopping by today! And again, I'm sorry I took a little blogging break, but I am back and I have sooo many great things to share with you! See you soon!

Summer Maxi with Lace Detail

Even though the summer season is nearing it's end, maxi dresses are in no way on their way out of the fashion world.
Probably the easiest way to look and feel chic is to throw on a maxi dress. This one is from Marshall's and I'm seriously obsessed with all the details on this little number. It's such a simple design yet the pop of color under the bust line and the soft touch of the lace trimmed out in the skirt both add such a unique and fun texture to this look. I love it because I feel so put together, yet all I had to do was throw on a dress. This dress is a recent fab find from my favorite Marshall's store, so be sure to stop by your local Marshall's if you'd like to add this maxi to your wardrobe, or find similar styles HERE and HERE.
I didn't want to over exaggerate my already simplistic dress so I went with simple accessories. I added a pair of gold earrings and a solid gold cuff both from Forever 21. Find a similar cuff HERE.
Both my booties and my clutch are from Francesca's. I picked up these beloved booties last season, but you can find a similar pair at Nordstrom HERE and HERE.

Modern Day Ballerina

Being the girly-girl I am, I can't help but love wearing a soft and feminine outfit any chance I get. This ballerina-inspired dress gives me a hint of nostalgia every time I put it on as it totally takes me back to the days of my childhood when "twirl-worthy" dresses were all I'd ever insist on wearing ( I will admit, I still like to twirl around every now and then.)  If you ask me, pink chiffon and white lace are the ultimate classics when it comes to femininity.

Both the dress and the lace crop top I layered over the top are from Forever 21.
This deliciously pink statement necklace is also from Forever 21.  I bought this bejeweled item for less than $15; thus proving no matter what your budget, you can still rock the ever on-trend statement piece.
My clutch is from Francesca's; basically the only place I go when I'm in need of a small item like this one to stash my cash and lipstick. Francesca's always has an adorable handbag at an even more attractive price; this one, like most of their clutches, was only $34.
Since I was savvy and saved on most of my outfit, I splurged on the shoes. These nude patent pumps are by Christian Louboutin.
