A Fall Favorite: The Sweater Dress

I'm all about cozy and comfy this time of year and an adorable little sweater dress does just that. I feel like I can throw this dress on, look cute, and feel comfortable all day long with little thought or effort; I have to say, that's my favorite kind of fashion combo.
I couldn't resist the chance to show a little boot sock. These are a favorite pair of mine that I found at Marshall's last year. They are seriously the softest socks ever created. Ever. They should have similar ones in stock this year, so if you become a total sock fanatic in the winter months like I do, run (don't walk,) to Marshall's.
My Boots are by Vince Camuto (no surprises there.) I found them last year, and they are still serving me so well. I can't sing the praises of Vince Camuto boots enough. The quality surpasses any other brand I've worn within their price range. If you want a shoe that you can wear all fall and winter long, and still have it looking new the next time those wonderful seasons roll around, then this is the brand for you too.
My neutral clutch is from Charming Charlie's.
These earrings are the Reverie Chandeliers by Stella and Dot. You can purchase them from my personal Stella and Dot sight HERE.

This darling little dress is from Francesca's. This season, Francesca's has taken boutique chic to a whole new level. They have a wonderful selection of little numbers just like this one, so if you want a sweater dress of your very own, I'd definitely make Francesca's my first stop. And Happy Fall Y'all!

Warby Parker Winter Collection 2014

The holidays are right around the corner, and that means lots of exciting things we all look forward to, but one of my personal favorite happenings this time of year is the debut of my most-loved brands' holiday collections. Yes,  the release of new, shiny things from my favorite designers puts that seasonal twinkle in my eye.

Many brands I hold dear to my heart are introducing their holiday collections, but only one has me particularly giddy today.  Warby Parker has officially unveiled the designs from their 2014 winter collection and I just cannot contain my excitement.

So, what do I do when I’m totally swooning over new products? Share them with all of you of course!

If you don't already know about the brand Warby Parker here’s a little info:

Warby Parker is a company that specializes in crafting designer eyewear at affordable prices. My favorite thing about buying from Warby Parker (the vast majority of adorable spectacles aside,) is that they are a company with compassion. For every pair of glasses sold, a pair is donated to people in need. So with every pair you get for yourself, you’re giving to those in need. You can read more about their Buy a pair, give a pair HERE.

Not only is Warby Parker a company with a cause, but their approach to providing the costumer with the perfect pair of glasses Is quite innovative as well. Who doesn’t want to know how a pair of glasses are going to look before they commit to a purchase? Well Warby Parker has taken “try-before-you-buy” to the next level.  They offer in-home try on for up to 5 pairs of glasses in your choice of designs and styles FOR FREE. How awesome is that? For more info on their In Home Try-On Program just click HERE.

So, now that you know how awesome Warby Parker is, you have to see the adorableness that is their winter collection!
I’m starting with my absolute fave.
The Keene
Now I know I'm not the typical eyeglass wearer, BUT these amazing frames might just be added to my accessory drawer very soon because I can't get over how adorable I think they are!

The Laurel
Another pair I'm swooning over is the Laurel. Although they come in various finishes, I just love the two-toned coloring blocking along the frames featured on the model above; I think that can be so flattering on the face when done right. These frames are available for purchase as both eyeglasses and sunglasses.

 The Reilly

If I had to pick a favorite pair of sunnies from the new collection, the Reilly would definitely top my list. This style just appeals to my inner fashionista. I want these shades, and I want to wear them everywhere. period.

The Barkley
Now I know I don't really mention men's fashion here on Fab Philosophy, but knowing that my husband would love donning these frames a time or two, made me feel like I should definitely shine a little light on them. These sunglasses are modern classics that would flatter nearly every face shape, and the color blocked frames in the picture below are  already on my hubby's Christmas list.

These are just a few of the awesome new styles that released today in the Warby Parker 2014 Winter Collection. The rest of the styles are definitely worth checking out. I know you are going to find a pair you absolutely must have.

A Denim Dress For Fall

There has probably been a denim dress of some sort hanging in my closet since I was born. Being from Texas, I've grown up knowing that no wardrobe is complete without one. I love to wear denim all year round, but there's something about denim and the Fall that I just find so delightfully satisfying.
I've worn denim dresses in all shapes, color washes, and sizes but this one is possibly my favorite to date. It fits much like an oversized button down shirt, which gives it that boyfriend look and feel I find myself silently obsessed with from time to time. This new found favorite is from Target for just under $28! Find it HERE.

I've paired it with my over-the-knee camel toned Vince Camuto boots. In my humble opinion, there is something about a camel brown that complements denim better than in other leather. It might be the bit of country girl in me that I just refuse to shake.

My bracelets from top to bottom: Michael by Michael Kors (find it HERE,) J. Crew (HERE), My watch is by Fossil (HERE), and the "love" bracelet is from Forever 21.
My bag is Burberry and the earrings I'm wearing are the Reverie by Stella and Dot. (You can find them on my Stella and Dot page HERE.)

Fall GIVEAWAY!!

**this giveaway is closed. Check back in December for more giveaways!!**

Hello lovelies!
For a while now I've been thinking about doing giveaways here on my blog, and with my favorite season in full swing, I thought fall and all the fabulousness that comes with it was the perfect excuse to share some of my favorites with all of you.
 So....I have gathered a few of my favorite fall "essentials" to give away to ONE lucky gal! {Instructions on how to enter can be found at the bottom of this post.}

Here's what you get if you win...
My Fall wardrobe wouldn't complete without a black handbag and leopard print anything, so I picked up this super adorable bag and Leopard infinity scarf (which I happen to own myself) at Charming Charlie's.
In my opinion, fall doesn't officially start until my house is decked out in décor and smelling like the scents I so heartily relate to the autumn season. I literally run to Bath and Body Works every year when they bring back their fall scent collection, so I thought I would pick up a few things for one of my sweet subscribers while I was there too.
8 oz. Body Cream, 10 oz. Shower Gel,and sparkling Lip Gloss all in the scent Comfort (which happens to be my fave!)
Cozy Vanilla Cream Hand Soap
and a
3-wick Candle in the scent Caramel Pumpkin Swirl
Fall is not complete without a ridiculous consumption of your favorite coffee or warm beverage, so I threw in a $25 Starbucks Gift Card.
I also found this adorable Owl Mug and Owl Measuring Cup Set at Kirkland's and thought that they just had to be added to the giveaway because what's cuter than an owl mug in the fall?!
A neutral lipstick is an absolute essential for me going into the fall season, and one that I've been loving this year is MAC Lipstick in the shade: Crème in Your Coffee.
Burgundy nails are so on trend this season too, so I picked up a polish by Essie in the Shade Velvet Voyeur.
Finally, I added a fab pair of Chandelier earrings I found at Charming Charlie's. I just couldn't resist throwing them in the giveaway because they were just too cute to pass up!

Now, Here's how to enter...
All you have to do is go LIKE the Fab Philosophy Facebook Page HERE, FOLLOW ME on Instagram  @brittneyblane HERE, and COMMENT below telling me what the one thing you must have in the fall.

Now for some specifics...
There will only be one winner who will receive all the products mentioned about via USPS once the giveaway is closed. All products are brand new (unused) and were purchased by me. I will randomly select one individual who has properly entered following all three entry requirements upon midnight of the last day of the contest as the winner of this giveaway. The winner will be notified within 48 hours of that date to the best of my abilities. I will be posting the winner's name on the Fab Philosophy Facebook Page. This giveaway is open to U.S. residents only and anyone is eligible to enter. If you are under the age of 18, make sure to get your parent's permission before submitting your entry. If you win I will contact you via social media and/or email in order to obtain your shipping information.
 Good luck to you!!

And Thanks for Stopping By Today!

Sophisticated Grunge

What do you do when you're a girly-girl but your feeling just a little bit rock and roll? Wear stud- trimmed leather of course.  It's been a bit since my last post and I must say I am super excited for this one today. One of my favorite things about fall is being able to introduce leather back into my wardrobe, and a flirty little skirt is the way to go where I live, considering the weather has yet to dip below the high seventies.

I've paired my fave leather skirt with a silk top I found at Marshall's last season.

The skirt is from a local boutique, Four Chicks in the Park, that specializes in total cuteness.

The Boots are by Vince Camuto.

I know I usually don't mention the make-up products I'm wearing in my fashion posts, but today I just had to share this lip color with you all because it's one of my new found faves. The color is Brave by Mac.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.
