Summer Makeup Routine

As the seasons change our skin needs tend to change, which ultimately means our makeup routine will more than likely need  to change a little too.
With just a bit of tweaking and updating, you can achieve the makeup look you feel most comfortable wearing on a daily basis without sacrificing coverage or anything else you find important when it comes to your personal makeup style.
I've put together just a quick tutorial of what I do and the products I use during the hot summer months to keep my makeup fresh, shine free, and most of all in it's proper place all day long.

If you are interested in any of the products I used in this video I have listed all the ones I could find with purchasing info below with links:

What are some products or little tricks you use to stay looking and feeling beautiful during those scorching hot days? Let me know in the comments below!

Thank you so very much for stopping by the blog today & for watching my very first YouTube tutorial video!! I hope it was somewhat helpful!

Feeling Bright and Lovely...

I have just been loving the color combo of white and bright cobalt blue this season; I just posted a look using this color scheme last week (see it HERE,) and I am pretty sure my love for the classic white and blue will grace the pages of my blog again very soon (hint, hint.)
There is just something that seems so light, refreshing, and vibrant, about a white pallet with a blissful color popped on top in a great pattern.
So, when this dress caught my eye the other day at a local department store I couldn't pass it up! On top of the beautiful color, it happens to be printed with a fabulous floral pattern too...and it was 50% off...I consider this a fabulous fashion score.
The dress is by the brand Cremieux which is actually a brand I tend to gravitate towards quite often due to it's simplistic, tradition style, not to mention their wonderful use of color.

I paired it with one of my favorite nude pairs of shoes by BCBG. It's always a good idea to have a go-to nude pair of heels in your closet; they go with nearly everything and they will save you from searching the shoe departments for that perfect matching color to any brightly hued item in your wardrobe.

The blue tones on this dress happened to be in the exact same shade as the Kate Spade bag I had picked up at Nordstrom Rack a few months ago...I love when these little matches made in fashion heaven take up residence in my closet.
Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today. Happy Friday!

Cropped...

Not only are they seriously on trend this summer, but nothing beats the heat like a cropped top. So, I thought I'd share with you how I'm rocking the Cropped Top this season...
Classic Black and white paired with small touches of bold color really give this look a bright summer time vibe...My Cropped Top is from Francesca's and my maxi skirt is a steal I picked up at Marshall's
The Jewelry I've paired with this little number is from Charming Charlie's and Forever 21
My Black & White handbag that I happen to be obsessed with right now is by Michael Kors

Let me know how you plan to rock a cropped top this summer.

Casually Striped

It's Friday (insert happy dance here) and for me that means it's time to get all my last minute errands done before the weekend is in full swing. I must say that I am loving this outfit for doing just that. It's comfy, cute, and this tote...ugh, I ADORE this tote.

I could live in this striped dress from Target. I basically fancy anything with black and white stripes, and this little number is even more comfortable than it is cute. Find it online HERE.

Sunglasses: The Jackie Ohh II by Ran Ban (a.k.a my all time favorite pair. ever.)
My Parisian inspired hat is from a swim shop at the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas. Every time we visit Vegas I pick up a cute hat that catches my eye; it's a much more darling souvenir than a mug with a couple of dice on it don't you think?
This absolutely adorable tote is from ILY COUTURE, an online boutique that specializes in cuteness! I actually won this little accessory from a give away they were having on Instagram and I just love it! If you haven't checked them out online you can do so HERE and be sure to follow them on Instagram to catch all their lovely little posts daily.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderfully fabulous weekend.

Summertime Blues

Summer time in South Texas means one thing to me: VERY hot temperatures...and because of that I try to keep my summer wardrobe as light and airy as possible. This silk top from Forever 21 does just that, and the pop of bright blue just makes me love it even more.
I've paired this summertime tank with my favorite pair of white skinny jeans from BCBG.

My Shoes were a steal from Forever 21 last summer.
This gray leather Juicy Couture handbag adds the perfect touch to this simple summer outfit with its neutral color and gold detail.
Thanks for stopping by.

Outfit of the Day: Effortless Date-Night Elegance

Even though most of my summer days are filled with casual clothes and flip flops, there are those few moments or events that call for a more "dolled-up" look; whether it be a wedding, evening social event, or just a romantic date with my hubby. This outfit is perfect for a night just like that. Simple enough to not be too "over-done" during the lazy days of summer, but elegant enough to feel lovely and look chic.
This lavender dress by BCBG is perfect for a summertime evening soiree or a romantic dinner with your honey. It's simple design paired with it's silk fabric makes for an effortlessly elegant look that's perfect for the warmer weather.

This dipped quartz cuff by Gussied is a hand-made gem by an amazingly talented and sweet friend of mine. It's quickly becoming my favorite go-to piece of jewelry. These cuffs can be customized to suit whatever color you might fancy. If you think it looks pretty with a simple silk dress, you should see what it does for a pair of jeans and a casual top. You can find this cuff and all of her beautiful designs HERE.

My summertime go-to nude pumps are by Christian Louboutin.

The handbag in this look is by Tory Burch
Thanks for stopping by today! See you soon.
