Channeling My Inner Audrey Heburn

There's just something so timeless about a classic black and white stripe and an oversized hat. Such a simple look that always makes me feel glamorous even when it's worn in a casual way. Between the beautiful scenery of Schwann Lake in South Carolina, my iconic black skinny jeans, and a blinged-out bow on my handbag, my inner Audrey was inevitably surfaced that day. (yes after writing this I do plan to go watch Breakfast at Tiffany's, naturally.)
This perfectly over-sized black sun hat (pretentiously titled the "Movie Star Sun Hat.") is from Charming Charlie's, and it is totally on sale for only $8.99 online now. Find it HERE.
The striped tank is from Forever 21 while the lace bralette  I have layered underneath is from Victoria's Secret.

My black skinny jeans, which I swear by on any day I can go a bit casual and don't know what to wear, are a total steal from Forever 21.

This seriously adorable handbag is by My Flat in London.
My red soled solid black pumps probably need no introduction but they are the Rolando by Christian Louboutin. Find them HERE

"I believe in Pink. I believe that laughter is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong even when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day, and I believe in miracles." - Audrey Heburn

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope your week has been fabulous!

Patterned Maxi

Before we hit the road on our recent trip to North Carolina, we didn't have a set itinerary so I knew packing multi-purpose attire was a must. When it comes to the warm-weather months and the vacation filled days of Summer, not much beats a great maxi dress.
I gravitate towards these floor length frocks because wearing one is essentially a piece of cake if you want to take your outfit from day to night no matter what your summer schedule might entail. Whether you're spending the day shopping, walking the boardwalk, or sight seeing, and your evening having a romantic dinner date with your honey; a lovely dress like this one will have you looking stylish the whole way through.
 So, as I was shopping for this southern summer get-a-way of ours, I was definitely on the lookout for a great maxi.  As I perused the racks at my local Francesca's, the print and fabulous color scheme of this sun-ready dress immediately caught my eye; I knew I just had to have this little number in my suitcase.
Francesca's happens to have some seriously stunning maxi dresses in all different colors and designs right now, so if you are looking for that perfect summer maxi to add to your wardrobe, I would definitely make their store the first stop on your list. {Here is a link to the fabulous maxi dresses they have on their site}
 It doesn't get much easier and chic than this.
The cut-out and crossed straps on the back of this dress are such simple yet beautifully added details.

I can not tell you how obsessed I am with this stunning statement necklace I recently purchased, that I think happens to fluently match my dress to slight perfection, (I just love when I buy accessories that simultaneously fall into perfect harmony with a favorite piece from my closet, don't you?!)
I found this fab piece of jewelry on a darling online boutique I actually discovered via Instagram called Benevolent Jewels. Not only are their items beautifully chic, but they are a business with a big heart. Now through December they are donating 10% of their profits to Patriot PAWS Service Dog Program, which is a wonderful organization that trains service dogs for disabled veterans. So, if you want to add some lovely pieces to your jewelry wardrobe, and help a Texas business donate to a wonderful cause, be sure to check out their site HERE! I know you will find something you just can't live without...and if you feel like following them on Instagram, I thought I would link their account here as well. {BenevolentJewels}
My Shoes are one of my favorite pairs (basically ever made) by Vince Camuto.
My Clutch is from Francescas
(p.s. They are having a sale on all of their darling handbags right now, 40% off for a limited time. you're welcome.)

Thanks for stopping by the blog today! Do you have a lovely new maxi dress hanging in your closet right now? Let me know all about it in the comments below!

Bright Florals on the Savannah Riverwalk

As we made our way to North Carolina this past week the weather was not being very cooperative (Hurricane Arthur was no ones friend on the east coast this last 4th of July weekend,) so we decided to play it safe, stay off the roads during the rainy weather, and make an extra stop along the way. We ended up in Augusta Georgia which is right on the border of Georgia and South Carolina, and happens to sit delightfully at the fall line of the beautiful Savannah River.

The hotel we stayed in for the night was located right next to the Riverwalk Augusta park which looked like something straight out of a Reece Witherspoon movie, so naturally we had to explore.

This little slice of southern heaven was way too beautiful not to share a few non-fashion related picture with you all. Travis and I watched the sunset on the river that evening and it was simply breathtaking.

There was a pink house sitting along the other side of the river bank nestled in between all the other charming homes that lined the great Savannah. So, if you know me, then you know that it immediately caught my attention. I now officially want a pink house; I don't care if it sits by a lake, a river, on a beach, or just down an old dirt road, but I want one.
 We decided to eat dinner at a lovely restaurant attached to the hotel, so I took the opportunity to wear a fun and flirty floral dress (which I happen to have found at Marshall's.) I brought this adorable little number along on this trip with me because I thought it would be the perfect summer dress for all that humid southern weather. We chose to eat on the patio so we could take in the scenery and so sweet Minky could join us of course. Our waitress was so sweet she even brought Minky a bowl of water to enjoy as she lounged in the chair next to mine. (yes I know, my dog is a tad spoiled.)

This sun hat that has lived in my closet longer than I can remember, balances out the pop of pink on my feet.
I am so in love with the bow detail on the back of this little sun-dress.

I decided to add a bright green handbag to bring out the playful colors in the dress. This one is Marc by Marc Jacobs.

These suede pink heels by Jessica Simpson have been a long time favorite of mine.
I had to throw in this last shot because I just thought the reflection of the Savannah River in my newest Ray-Ban sunnies is way too cool not to share.
